don't tell this to anyone but there is not actually anything malicious about this site

"ip logger" is a very silly term anyway because every site in existence gets your ip (or your vpn ip or whatever you're using to reach the public internet) because that's the how the internet works

ip geolocation can at best determine the largest city but sometimes it's not really accurate enough for even that

people really overestimate what you can really do with someone's ip (which is 99% time gonna a dynamic one that will change like probably the next day)

for instance, your router will automatically block all incoming connections, and if it doesn't because you have something like upnp turned on or is some outdated ISP crapbox then you should probably worry more about the billion of chinese bots port scanning the entire internet automatically every day than some random dude getting your ip

This is my lived experience. The times I see my ip addess through two-factor authentication measures, I'm lucky if it reads my ip as coming from the biggest city in my State.

i'm not actually trying to start an imageboard
this site is just a hosting experiment

you see, despite you accessing the site over a clearnet domain, the backend where the site actually lives is hosted over tor at my home, thus providing anonymity like a tor hidden service would for the hoster, while still allowing people to just connect without using tor

basically, i just want to see how well this kind of setup copes when it's accessed by more than 3 crawlers a day
